Lois has been a non-profit executive for 25 years, leading and consulting with family-centered programs of education and community development both nationally in the United States, and in Latin America.  As Senior Vice President of Futures for Children, she worked in over 100 different tribal communities to provide educational training and comprehensive program services in support of children, family and community well-being.  She has also consulted with a range of non-profit organizations and educational institutions, including a multi-year contract for organizational development with the nationally recognized Puente Project, Office of the President, University of California.  Lois currently serves on the ECAN Steering Committee that was appointed by the Lt. Governor to provide oversight for a major statewide Early Childhood Agenda.  Lois has a Masters Degree in Symbolic Anthropology from the University of New Mexico and has co-authored training materials on dialogue, community education, leadership, parent involvement, and volunteer program development.
