Mind in the Making: New Mexico

 

 

 

 

Course of Study Information

 

45-Hour Entry Level Course & UNM Extended Education:

Mind in the Making New Mexico can be taken for 3 credit hours through UNM Extended University and it is recognized by the New Mexico Office Of Child Development as the equivalent to the state required 45-Hour Entry Level Course that must be taken by all child care employees in licensed facilities within the first year of employment when the following criteria is met by the participant:

Attendance:

Participants must attend at least 11 of the 12 Learning Modules (one absence make-up is allowed in addition to one unexcused absence) for the total of 30 contact hours.

Course Work:

Participants must complete all Moving On & Doing More course work in direct relation to all modules attended for the total of 16.5 "instructor directed" hours.

*Note: If participants do not complete these requirements, then a certificate indicating in-class training hours only will be issued in lieu of the completed Mind in the Making Early Learning Program certificate.
