Andrea has worked over 22 years with children ages birth to 18 in the field of early childhood education and learning. Andrea has presented at conferences both locally and nationally, with specific focus on preparing adult educators to provide high quality professional development to early care and education professionals. Andrea  has over six years teaching experience at the post-secondary level in Early Childhood Multicultural Education, Child Development and Family Studies. In the Spring of 2006 she received the Central New Mexico (CNM) Community College Excellence Award for teaching and student advising and continues to teach as an adjunct faculty member at CNM. Andrea has a Bachelors Degree in Child Development with an emphasis in diversity and minors in Family Studies, Studio Art and Spanish from Humboldt State University. She has an earned Masters Degree in Family Studies and upon graduation was awarded Outstanding Student from the University of New Mexico. Andrea is a participating board member of the Early Childhood Alliance, is a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children, and serves as the the New Mexico Association for the Education of Young Children newsletter editor. She has made a life long commitment to children and families through adult learning in the field early care and education.
